High speed machining
We have a range of high speed machines which can maintain accuracy’s of 5 microns.
These machines are used to carry out complex machining operations on all materials from aluminium to hardened steels in excess of 60HRC.
They are fitted with 3R and Erowa pallet systems to reduce lead times and ensure repeatability.
5 Axis Machining
Our Milling section is complimented with our newest investment a Mikron Mill E 700 U. This 5 axis machining centre allows complex simultaneous 5 axis machining on a wide variety of materials in excess of 60HRC. This machine offers a machining capacity of 700mm cube and can maintain accuracies of sub 10 microns. This machine benefits from a seven station 3R pallet loading system to allow 24/7 ‘lights out manufacturing’.
VCE machining
Our range of VCE machines are used for a wide range of our products up to 1200mm x 800mm x 500mm.
We achieve accuracies of 10 microns on these machine and we carry out complex machining operations on all materials from aluminium to hardened steels in excess of 60HRC
Turning
Our range of lathes offer turning capacity of Ø200mm x 500mm with live tooling and Y axis movement for more complex components. We can achieve accuracies of 5 microns in a wide range of materials from aluminium’s up to hardened steels in excess of 60HRC.
EDM machining
Our EDM department boasts the largest EDM machine that G.F. produce. The Form 400 has a work piece capacity of 1800mm x 1000mm x 800mm. This is complemented with an Erowa pallet system for electrodes. We achieve accuracies of 10 microns on these machines and work with a wide variety of materials from aluminium to hardened tool steels to Inconel.
wire erosion machining
Our range of wire erosion machines offer accuracies of 5 microns. Capacity size is 400mm x 300mm x 200mm and we can cut a variety of materials for aluminum to hardened steels.
